# Les Fééries de Noël de Dijon

> Les Fééries de Noël de Dijon: Chalets, vin chaud, an ice rink and a big wheel across the heart of Dijon.

For five weeks each winter, Dijon's Fééries de Noël spread a Christmas market, lights and rides across the city centre. Wooden chalets line Place Darcy and rue de la Liberté, an ice rink and a big wheel fill Place de la République, and vin chaud is never far away.

## History

The 2025 to 2026 edition ran from 29 November to 4 January, covering all of the school holidays, with the official lights switched on at the opening. The market gathered 47 chalets, several of them reserved for local craftspeople and associations, and the Cité internationale de la gastronomie et du vin added makers' markets and family activities.

## What to expect

Walk from the station end of town along rue de la Liberté to the Palais des Ducs, stopping for waffles, churros, confectionery and vin chaud, and for handmade pottery, jewellery and woodwork. Skate on the 600 square metre rink or take a turn on the 40 metre big wheel.

## Tips for the day

The city publishes the dates and programme in November. The centre is largely pedestrian, so a private driver who drops you near Place Darcy and collects you later makes an evening visit easy.

## Did you know?

The ice rink on Place de la République is built around the statue of President Sadi Carnot.
