# Fête de la Vigne de Givry

> Fête de la Vigne de Givry: Givry's traditional village fête on the eve of the harvest, with music, a flea market and local wine.

Each September, just before the harvest, Givry holds its Fête de la Vigne: three days of concerts, a funfair, a village ball and a Sunday flea market. It is a local fête rather than a showcase, which is exactly its charm.

## History

The fête is a long-standing back-to-school fixture for the town, bringing together residents, associations, shopkeepers, craftspeople and winegrowers. In 2026 the Friday opened with concerts on café terraces, and the weekend ran through to a craft market and associations' village on the Sunday.

## What to expect

Bars and shops set up terraces from the Friday evening. On Saturday and Sunday the tourist office and Givry Vins cellar pours a selection of more than twenty estates at cellar-door prices, while brass bands wander the centre, local associations cook on the church square and a ball fills the evening.

## Tips for the day

Entry is free; food and wine are paid for at the stalls. Expect a village crowd rather than coach parties. From Beaune it is a short drive, and being collected after the Saturday ball is easier than finding a late ride back.

## Did you know?

During the fête the Givry Vins cellar sells wines from more than twenty estates of the appellation at the same prices as at the domaines.
