# Jazz à Couches

> Jazz à Couches: a village jazz festival under canvas, with international names, a free Off and a wine-tasting concert.

Every July the small town of Couches puts up a big top for Jazz à Couches, which reached its 39th edition in 2026. Evening concerts bring well-known French and international artists, while free concerts fill the town square.

## History

Now in its fourth decade, the festival keeps the local Big Band de Couches on its bill beside visiting stars. Each edition has a theme; in 2026 it was the voice, with Marion Rampal, Youn Sun Nah and Sanseverino on the programme.

## What to expect

There are three strands: ticketed evening concerts under the tent at the leisure ground, a free Off in the open air on Place de la République for emerging artists, and Jazz à du Goût, a concert with wine tasting at the Prieuré Saint-Georges on the Saturday afternoon. From 2026 all tent concerts are seated.

## Tips for the day

Book early, as the most popular nights sell out. Couches is about 35 minutes from Beaune on country roads, and a late finish under the tent is easier with a driver waiting outside.

## Did you know?

The 2026 edition was the 39th, and both the Friday night under the tent and the Jazz à du Goût tasting concert sold out.
