## History

Saulieu stands on the old road from Paris to Lyon, and its Côte d'Or restaurant was made famous by Alexandre Dumaine and later by Bernard Loiseau. The town's museum devotes a room to them, and the gourmet weekend carries on that reputation.

The 2025 edition ran from Thursday 29 May to Sunday 1 June, from 10 am to 6 pm each day.

## What to expect

Stroll through a fair of Morvan and Burgundian specialities, watch chefs at work in live demonstrations and follow the cooking and table-service competitions. It is a good weekend to stock up on local produce and to book a table at one of the town's restaurants.

## Tips for the day

Entry is 3 euros according to the tourist office. Ascension moves each year, so check the dates with the Saulieu tourist office. Saulieu is about an hour from Beaune; combine the fair with the Basilique Saint-Andoche and the Musée François Pompon, and let your driver handle the road after a long lunch.

## Did you know?
