## History

Held every year at the Clos de Vougeot since the late 2000s, the festival reached its 19th edition on 26 and 27 September 2026. Four literary prizes are awarded each year, including the Prix du Clos de Vougeot and a first-novel prize named after the Méo-Camuzet estate.

## What to expect

Meet authors at signings, listen to talks and debates, and visit exhibitions in the château's halls and great cellar. The weekend opens with a Grande Dictée, a French dictation contest held in the cellar, first for children and then for adults.

## Tips for the day

Entry is free, with food available on site. The château's regular guided visits are disrupted that week, so come for the festival rather than a standard tour. A private driver can combine it with tastings in Vougeot or Chambolle-Musigny.

## Did you know?

More than a thousand authors have signed books at the Clos de Vougeot since the festival began.
