# Trail de Santenay

> Trail de Santenay: a December trail race over the hills of Santenay, from 8.5 km to about 26 km.

The Trail de Santenay starts and finishes on the Place du Jet d'Eau in Santenay, at the southern end of the Côte-d'Or vineyards. Organised by the TEB Beaune Triathlon club, it offers three distances, from about 8.5 km to about 26 km. It is usually held in mid-December.

## History

The race is organised by the triathlon club TEB Beaune Triathlon, and part of every entry fee goes to the association Entr'Aide, une lame pour courir.

## What to expect

The long course of about 26 km usually starts at 14:00, the 15 km at 14:30 and the 8.5 km at 15:00; the organiser publishes the 2026 details closer to the date. The routes take in the hills, woods and vineyards around Santenay.

## Tips for the day

Entry costs between 12 and 30 euros according to distance, including 2 euros for the charity. December light fades early, so plan your pace on the long course. Santenay has a spa, a casino and wine cellars to visit afterwards, and a driver means you can celebrate with a glass.
