## History

The Delagrange family, growers handing the estate from father to son, settled in Meursault in 1972. They bought a house where the doctor of Duke Charles the Bold had lived in the 15th century, when Burgundy was still an independent duchy. Today Philippe Delagrange runs the domaine.

The house is known for its historic cellar on two levels, built in the local style, where wine was already stored in the time of the dukes. Beside it lie a walled plot of vines, which gives the domaine's red Meursault, and a flower garden.

## What you will see

Tastings take place in the cellars, with a wide range of appellations to try, and the visit includes a stroll through the property and its garden.

## Planning your visit

Allow about an hour. The domaine has no website and does not publish opening hours, so phone ahead to arrange a tasting. It stands on the rue du 11-Novembre, a short walk from the town hall square of Meursault.

## Did you know?

The house once belonged to the physician of Charles the Bold, the last Valois Duke of Burgundy, and its two-level cellars were already holding wine in the dukes' time.
