Its old centre keeps half-timbered houses, a church with a jacquemart on its bell tower, and one of the oldest covered market halls still standing in France. The church of Saint-Martin stands close by, with its jacquemart on the bell tower. Then wander the lanes past half-timbered houses to the Carnot statue. On Mondays the market fills the square by the town hall. The tourist office also runs guided tours of the town.","Monday morning is the liveliest time, with the weekly market. Nolay also makes a good base for the Cirque du Bout du Monde, a few kilometres north, and it marks the end of the Voie des Vignes extension from Santenay. Bikes can be hired at the tourist office.
