Day by day

The Mâconnais is Burgundy's southern white wine country, where Pouilly-Fuissé and Saint-Véran grow below the limestone escarpments of Solutré and Vergisson. It lies about 95 km from Beaune, so the light plan drops you in Pouilly-Fuissé for a tasting, lunch and the path up the Roche de Solutré, and brings you back at the end of the afternoon. The full plan makes it a full wine day with two extra hours, adding Saint-Véran, with Viré-Clessé and the Abbaye Saint-Philibert de Tournus on the way back.
