Day by day

Cluny was the heart of a monastic order that spread across Europe, and its abbey church the largest in medieval Christendom; Tournus, on the Saône, keeps one of the great Romanesque churches of France. The light plan takes you to Cluny and back for the abbey, its museum and the town. The full plan keeps the driver for ten hours: the abbey church of Tournus, the hilltop village of Brancion, the church of Chapaize, the Château de Cormatin and Cluny Abbey.
