About the event

Notes d'été à Irancy is a music festival held each July in the wine village of Irancy. Its concerts range from Beethoven, Brahms and Debussy to Gershwin, gipsy swing and evenings of opera. The main venue is the choir of the church of Saint-Germain, prized for its acoustics.

What to expect

Evenings mix classical programmes with lighter fare: the 2026 line-up went from Beethoven, Sibelius and Debussy to Rhapsody in Blue, a night at the opera and a Paris to New York programme. Concerts are held in the choir of the church, whose Renaissance portal and square Gothic tower stand above the village, with the vineyards all around.

History

The festival is run by a local non-profit association. The 2026 edition, its ninth, ran from 22 to 26 July in Irancy after an opening concert in Auxerre on 8 July, and the organisers reported record audiences.

A tenth edition is planned for 2027, and the team says several artistic projects for it are already under way or confirmed.
