Day by day

A week is enough to see why Burgundy's wines change from one hillside to the next: the reds of the Côte de Nuits, the whites of the Côte de Beaune, Chablis on its Kimmeridgian limestone 135 km to the north, and the Mâconnais below the Roche de Solutré. The light plan keeps a calm rhythm, three outings in the week and two free days, with Chablis by return trip. The full plan books a wine day for each region, the long day for Chablis and a full day with two extra hours for the Mâconnais, and leaves one day free in the middle.
