About the event

South of the Maranges, the hills around Couches produce Bourgogne Côtes du Couchois, a regional appellation recognised since the 2000 vintage. For one summer weekend its growers open their cellars across four villages, and visitors go from domaine to domaine with a single passport glass.

What to expect

Sixteen estates took part in 2026, in Dracy-lès-Couches, Couches, Saint-Maurice-lès-Couches and Saint-Sernin-du-Plain, including the châteaux of Couches and Dracy. Each pours its wines and explains its work, with food on offer at several stops.

History

The Ronde has run since 2002 and draws around a thousand participants a year. The Couchois vineyard covers about 250 hectares across six communes, and the Ronde remains the easiest way to meet the growers of this quiet corner between the Côte de Beaune and the Autunois.

Good to know

Tips for the day

A passport glass, sold at every participating estate, cost 7 euros in 2026. The villages are a few kilometres apart on country lanes, so the route is best done by car, and with a driver nobody has to drive. Couches is roughly 35 minutes from Beaune.

Questions

The 2027 dates of La Ronde du Couchois have not been announced yet. Usual timing: the first weekend of August, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 7pm; the 2026 Ronde was on 1 and 2 August.. The organiser publishes them on larondeducouchois.wordpress.com.

Did you know? The Couchois gained its own regional appellation, Bourgogne Côtes du Couchois, with the 2000 vintage, after a long campaign by its growers.
