About the event
The Trail du Montrachet is a trail race from Chassagne-Montrachet on paths that wind between the vineyards of the Côte de Beaune and the forest above. In 2026 runners choose between a 10 km, solo or in pairs, and a 20 km race that finishes after dark. The 2026 edition is the sixth.
What to expect
Runners start and finish at the salle des fêtes of Chassagne-Montrachet and pass the Moulin de Santenay. On the 20 km, runners may see the sun set over the Chassagne plateau before tackling steep climbs and descents by head torch. A full buffet awaits at the finish.
History
The race has become an autumn fixture for runners in the Côte de Beaune. In 2025 it offered 8 and 15 km courses, and for 2026 the organisers introduced new 10 km and 20 km formats.
