About the event
The town of Cluny holds its Christmas market over several December weekends in the Écuries de Saint-Hugues, one of the landmark buildings of the abbey town. Stallholders set up under cover, which makes it a good plan whatever the weather.

History
The town organises the market every year, and other Christmas markets are held in the villages of the Clunisois around the same weeks.

Tips for the day
In 2026 the market opens on Friday 4 December from 5 pm to 10 pm, then over the weekends of 5 and 6, 11 to 13 and 18 to 20 December: Fridays from 3 pm to 7 pm, Saturdays from 9 am to 7 pm and Sundays from 10 am to 7 pm. Entry is free. Cluny is roughly an hour and a quarter from Beaune; a December day here can take in the abbey and the market, with a driver for the dark drive home.
