What you will see
At the tasting cellar, the team pours across the Chablis range, Chablis, the premiers crus Vosgros, Vaillons and Fourchaume, and the grand cru Bougros, as well as the Auxerre wines, Saint-Bris Sauvignon, Irancy and Bourgogne. The domaine also offers booked discovery programmes, with walks or minibus tours in the vineyard to explain how the Chablis appellations are defined and how the terroir shapes the wine.
History
Céline is the daughter of Jean-Marc Brocard, founder of one of the best-known Chablis estates, and Frédéric, born in Paris, moved at 12 to his mother's family home near Chablis and learned the trade with his cousin Francis Boudin and his uncle Jean Durup. After 13 and 10 years respectively at the Brocard estate, they decided in 2013 to strike out on their own. In 2014 Céline's mother, Claudine Petit, entrusted them with the Auxerre vineyard that had come down from her own mother in Saint-Bris.
Their vines now spread over 51 climats between Chablis, Chichée, Saint-Bris and Irancy, so harvests can last several weeks. Most are Chardonnay, with Sauvignon for Saint-Bris, Pinot Noir for Irancy, Aligoté and two rare grapes, Sacy and César. The wines are made in stainless steel tanks at their winery in La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne, fermented with native yeasts only. The domaine has been certified High Environmental Value at the highest level since 2018.
