About the event
L'Automnale is a road cycling tour organised by the Beaune Cyclos club, with routes through the Côte and Hautes-Côtes de Beaune in their autumn colours. It is not a race: riders choose one of several marked routes and ride at their own pace.
What to expect
Riders start from the Espace des Jeunes on the Promenade des Buttes in Beaune between 11:00 and 13:30, and must be back by 16:00. Road routes are marked the day before with biodegradable paint, and GPX tracks are provided. Refreshment stops are set up at Chassagne-Montrachet, at Saisy on the longer routes, and at the finish.
History
The Beaune Cyclos club designs the routes to suit as many riders as possible, from a 44 km loop with 500 metres of climbing to 90 km with 1,270 metres, and in 2026 added a 70 km gravel route.

Tips for the day
In 2026 entry cost 5 euros for licensed riders and 8 euros for others, free for under-18s, with 2 euros extra for registration on the day. A helmet is essential on the Hautes-Côtes descents. Companions who do not ride can spend the day tasting in the villages with a driver and meet the riders at the finish.
