About the event
The Salon des Vins de Mâcon gathers more than seventy growers from every French wine region at Le Spot, the Mâcon exhibition park. It is run by the committee behind the Concours des Grands Vins de France, one of the oldest wine competitions in the country, which judges on the same weekend.
What to expect
Visitors taste from stand to stand: Alsace, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Corsica, the Loire, the Rhône, Savoie and the South-West, with cognac, armagnac and other spirits and regional food products. It is a practical place to stock a cellar and meet producers from far beyond Burgundy.
History
The Comité des Salons et Concours de Mâcon has organised the Concours des Grands Vins de France since 1954; its 72nd edition is on Saturday 17 April 2027. The competition itself is judged by a jury of professionals and experienced amateurs and is not a public event, but the salon opens the weekend to everyone.
