About the event

The Marché aux Vins brings the producers of Givry together under the Halle Ronde, the town's circular covered market, for a spring weekend of tasting. It is the simplest way to compare the appellation's reds and whites side by side, with crémant and other Côte Chalonnaise wines alongside.

What to expect

An entry ticket includes a stemmed glass, and each stand pours from its own range: Givry red and white, other Côte Chalonnaise appellations and Crémant de Bourgogne. The growers are behind the tables themselves, so it is a good moment to ask questions and buy at the source.

History

The 2026 market was the 32nd edition, held with the Burgundy wine board (BIVB) as official partner. Sixteen estates and the Buxy growers' cooperative took part.

Tips for the day

Entry cost 8 euros in 2026, glass included. Friday opens only in the late afternoon, so Saturday or Sunday gives the most time. Givry is around 35 minutes from Beaune, and a driver lets the whole group taste and still carry the cases home.
