About the event

The Patarate Gourmande is a walk of about six kilometres through the vineyards of Marsannay-la-Côte, with a full meal served in five stops along the way. At each halt, local growers pour the wines of the Marsannay appellation, red, white and rosé, along with crémant de Bourgogne.

What to expect

Groups of about twenty set off every fifteen minutes between late morning and early afternoon. The first stop serves the Mûrée, an aperitif created by the Confrérie des Gourmets de Marsannay. Then come a starter with the local persillé, a hot dish, regional cheeses and dessert with coffee back at the start, with music along the way.

History

The walk is organised locally in Marsannay and, according to its organisers, drew encouraging numbers from its very first year. In 2024 about 550 people took part. The 2026 edition was held on Sunday 7 June, starting from the Maison de Marsannay.

Tips for the day

Registration is compulsory and prices rise closer to the date; in 2026 an individual place cost 46 to 50 euros. The walk goes ahead whatever the weather and is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs, so wear walking shoes. With eight Marsannay wines on the route, it is wise to book a private driver for the ride home.
