About the event
Volcan de Nuits is an intimate festival that mixes concerts, visual artists and cooking in Nuits-Saint-Georges. It draws about a thousand people a year, with free early-week events and ticketed evenings where musicians, illustrators and chefs share the stage.
What to expect
Early in the week, drop in for free concerts and family activities. Later in the week, ticketed evenings combine live music, visual artists and dishes cooked by local chefs, in a relaxed setting far from big-festival crowds.
History
The festival was launched in 2018. Its 8th edition ran from 25 to 30 May 2026 on two sites in Nuits-Saint-Georges, with DJ sets, local musicians and a circus show early in the week, then paid evenings featuring artists such as the pianist Faraj Suleiman and the illustrator Benjamin Flao, and chefs from the Côte de Nuits.
