About the event
Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot brings together classical musicians and Burgundy's leading wine estates for a week at the end of June. Young talents perform alongside international artists at the Château du Clos de Vougeot and other heritage sites, and concerts are paired with tastings from partner domaines.
What to expect
Evenings combine chamber music or symphonic programmes with tastings of fine Burgundy vintages poured by partner estates. Each edition traditionally opens with a free Young Talents concert in Beaune, and a concert with a picnic has been held at the ruined abbey of Saint-Vivant in the Hautes-Côtes.
History
The festival was founded in 2008 by Aubert de Villaine and Bernard Hervet, with the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Faiveley and the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin among its founding patrons. Beyond the concerts, it runs a fund that buys and lends fine string instruments to young musicians and awards scholarships.
The 18th edition ran from 20 to 28 June 2026, with concerts at the Clos de Vougeot, the abbey of Saint-Vivant, the Château de Meursault and in Beaune. A charity auction with Sotheby's raised nearly 500,000 euros for the instrument fund and the young talents scholarship.

Tips for the day
Seats for concerts and tastings are limited, so book once the programme is published. Venues are spread between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. A private driver makes it easy to move between concerts and enjoy the tastings.
