About the place

Vins Coudurier JungVins Coudurier JungVins Coudurier JungVins Coudurier Jung

Vins Coudurier Jung is a small urban winery on the rue du Faubourg Bretonnière, just outside the ramparts of Beaune. The wines are made on the spot, in a cellar of about 40 square metres, and sold in the shop at the front. Christine Coudurier welcomes visitors for tastings.

What you will see

Tastings take place in the shop, led by Christine. A commented tasting of four wines, chosen with the seasons, lasts about 45 minutes, costs €10 when booked online and includes a look at the micro-winery. It is a chance to see how wine is made at the smallest scale, a few steps from the street.

History

Christine Coudurier, a grower since 2011, created the micro-domaine with her family in 2016. They bought vines first, then built a small winery in town, so that the wines are made and sold under the same roof.

The range is small and made in short runs: Hautes-Côtes de Beaune and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, regional Bourgogne, village wines such as Meursault, Saint-Romain, Pommard and Santenay, and crémant. The wines are moved by gravity, fermented with native yeasts, bottled without filtering and kept low in sulphites. The shop also sells Burgundy liqueurs, from crème de cassis to vine peach.
